THE GREAT ESCAPE! (While doing what I love)
Singing Chef Helps Assistance League of Bend – KTVZ News

What a great way to experience a new part of the country I have never been . The pine trees, the high dessert and the snow capped mountains in the middle of June were breathtaking. I arrived in Bend Oregon and to my surprise I felt right at home. Also finding out the the whole area is a cycling town it made me what to bring my road bike on my next visit.

As I was greeted at the airport by two lovely ladies as part of the Assistance League of Bend Oregon, I knew I was in for a wonderful time. The food, the people, and the staff especially the Tate & Tate Catering by George and Barbara Tate, the top caterers in the area, made for a very successful sold out show.

The historic Tower Theater, right in the middle of downtown Bend, was the perfect venue to Sing & Cook Italian. Everyone that was there had a great time and the money raised when to the Assistance League that contribute their time and talent to distributing clothes for those in need as well as patients who are in Chemotherapy who need hats and gowns. I am very moved by organizations like this who as their main purpose is to give. 24/7.

I will hope to return to Bend, Oregon, and this time I will take along my road bike.
